My sort of secret project was to apply to graduate school for mental health counseling. I started an application a few months back, but then didn’t actually apply until just a few weeks ago. Soon after I applied, I interviewed with the school, and then got my acceptance letter.
So long as I can figure out a way to pay for it, I’ll be back in school (part-time) in September. This is super exciting to me because for the first time in years, or maybe ever, I’ll be working towards a goal that will help me with my career. I was stuck in an admin rut and didn’t really see any easy way out of it, so now that I have this to look forward to, I feel so very very relieved and excited.
This was one of the first goals I added to my list. I discovered the key to becoming better at cooking breakfast is to actually cook breakfast. Once I started actually trying, it didn’t take too long to get the hang of it.
Granted, I still don’t make anything too complicated breakfast-wise, but who really needs a complicated breakfast anyway? What I can do is cook up some eggs and sausage or a yummy omelet with confidence, and that’s about all I really wanted to accomplish.
